Common questions

How do I play?

Tap a rope: if the path ahead of its head is clear to the edge, it slides off the board. If another rope is in the way, it bounces back, the blocking rope flashes red and you lose a heart. Clear every rope to win; no bumps earns 3 stars. A short tutorial shows on first launch, and Settings → How to play repeats it.

How do hints work?

You get 1 hint a day, shared across all levels and the daily puzzle; a new one arrives the next day. A hint lights up a rope that can escape. The Rat adds 1 hint a day, the Snake lights up every free rope, and the Rooster gives a free hint after 8 idle seconds. Hints are not sold.

How do I unlock zodiacs?

The Rat unlocks after 3 levels, then one more every 4 levels in zodiac order; the Pig unlocks at level 47. The current year’s zodiac is unlocked from the start, and the plain arrow style is always available. Pick one under Guardian zodiac on the home screen; long-press a card for details of its power.

Hearts and the timer?

Each level gives 3 hearts, 2 from level 21. A countdown timer starts at level 4. Run out of hearts or time and you replay the level. The daily puzzle has no time limit.

Streaks and catching up?

Solving the daily puzzle on its day adds 1 to your streak; missing a day resets it to 0, while your best streak is kept. Missed days can be played from the calendar for stars, but they do not restore the streak.

How do I delete my progress?

Settings → Delete progress, then confirm. This erases all stars, daily results, streaks, hints used and settings on the device and cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app also removes all of its data. We keep no copy.

Will my progress move to a new phone?

Zodiac Knots has no account or server. Progress moves only with your system backup (iCloud or Android backup) if backups are on and you restore from one.

Does the app collect any data?

No. It makes no network requests and has no ads, analytics or in-app purchases. Details are in the privacy policy.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad on iOS 15 or later, and Android phones and tablets on Android 7.0 or later. No internet connection needed.

Where do I change the language or sound?

Settings → Language: System, Tiếng Việt or English. Sound is switched in Settings or with the speaker button on the home screen.
