Dropora

Neon block puzzles, played on the beat and as a roguelite.

Dropora is a falling-block puzzle game that plays fully offline. Besides the classic mode it has Neon Run, where every level-up offers a choice of upgrades, and Beat Drop, where pieces fall on the beat of the music. Challenge codes let friends play each other’s exact piece sequence without an account.

Six ways to play

Every mode plays differently

A 10 × 18 board, seven piece shapes and a next-piece preview are the familiar part. What changes is the rules of each mode.

  • Neon Run

    Roguelite

Every level-up freezes the board and offers 3 upgrades out of 9: floor bombs that clear the bottom 2 rows, a one-time shield against topping out, an extra preview, slower falls, a later lock, Quad ×2, Combo ×2, an extra straight piece, and Overdrive (×1.5 score, but faster falls).

Level up after 90 seconds, 10 lines or 5,000 points.

  • Beat Drop

    Rhythm

A 100 BPM track. Pieces fall and lock on the beat. Hard-drop on the beat for ×1.2 points, rising to ×1.5 on a streak. The board frame pulses with the music and four dots count the beat.

Music and beat stay in sync with the engine, tick by tick.

  • Classic

    Classic

Clear lines, level up, speed up. Combos, back-to-back clears and perfect clears score extra, with feedback that escalates from NICE to NEON LEGEND.

The top 10 games of every mode are saved with a replay.

  • Zen

    Relaxed

No game over. When the board fills, the top half clears and play goes on. Speed stops rising at level 6.

End the session any time from the pause button.

  • Daily Challenge

    Every day

One piece sequence per day, the same for every player. Only your first attempt of the day counts.

No network needed: the sequence is generated from the date.

  • Challenge Codes

    Head to head

Every game ends with a 7-character code. Friends who enter it play exactly the piece sequence you just played.

    No account and no server.

How it is built

A deterministic engine and assets made in-house

Deterministic engine
Each game is defined by a seed and the list of inputs per tick. That is why replays reproduce every move exactly, and why a challenge code only needs to carry the seed.
Flutter and Flame
One codebase for iOS and Android. The board, particles and neon frame are drawn in code rather than from images.
Synthesized audio
The music and every sound effect are generated by the team’s own script, and so is the icon. Fonts are Orbitron and Chakra Petch under the SIL Open Font License.
No third-party SDKs
No advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDK. The app makes no network requests and asks for no Android permissions.
